The one with the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2005

Some pundits are predicting a Nobel Peace Prize 2005 victory for rock star Bono, a choice to which I'm completely open. The U2 frontman Bono (born Paul David Hewson) has done much for raising awareness for poverty and debt freedom for third-world countries, primarily those in Africa. Selecting Bono (or fellow rock stay Bob Geldof) to win the the Nobel Peace Prize 2005 would certainly raise those particular issues even higher, and with the G8 congresses a less-than-distant memory, Bono winning the Nobel Peace Prize 2005 would be a choice to raise awareness for both the Nobel Peace Prize as well as the issues for which Bono is fighting.

Update: It ain't Bono. The International Atomic Energy Agency and its director general, Mohamed ElBaradei, took home the prize. Well, nuclear arms and all that are close to the hearts of the Nobel group, so there. Maybe next year.
