The one with the Cindy survey

LIVEtheLIFE is experimenting with a bit of a layout change. I'd like to ask for your votes. Which cover (and therefore overall image) do you think speaks more to 15-20 year-old teens?

Number One, or

Number Two?

number one is good. it's very colorful and gets the attention of the people right away.

I'll take no. 2.

No. 1's varying fonts just doesn't do it for me (but then, I'm not a teenager anymore). As an alternate color scheme, how about using the green and yellow from Cindy's shirt?

Ganns!, i like the green one! a different color scheme from the first issue! :)

Hahaha... what is it with adults today? Not to be sounding so offensive, but the adults' multiple attempts on making things look "young" end up looking "childish". Honestly, I like the current layout of the mag cover. I like the green though, but not the varying fonts. Haha... sa sobrang gustong maging "youthful" nung Magazine namin ngayon (sa school: CodeRED) eh sumobra sya at mukha nang pambata. Hehe... but then again, I'm just one 16 year old, I don't speak for the entire generation. ^_^

take #1's colors and play with the font sizes (esp. titles) depending on what articles you want to emphasize. think wild! think fun! think crazy! think unpredictable! i agree with mark, don't think what teenagers seem to want but yourself in their shoes and look at life through their eyes. i'll try to suggest more on saturday.

Number one! I love the layout. Saka po sana yung fonts ng mga articles hindi po puro Times New Roman. Kasi sa first issue, parang nagbabasa po me ng mga research papers. ^_^ hehe... suggestion lang po.

Thanks for the comments thus far, guys! :D

I'm not a fan of varying fonts either. Looking at a lot of the existing mags out now, what they do is increase size and color for certain articles they'd like to emphasize (just like Ariel said). Looking at Revolve and Refuel, though, two Bibles from Zondervan that look like teen mags, they play with fonts. What may be done is stick with one font, then change colors and sizes. I'm looking forward to seeing what other things Ariel has in mind when I see him this Saturday.

JM: Where's the adult? Who's childish? Waaaaah.

Boo: I hate TNR. It was another person's suggestions, but I'm definitely going to play with more sans serif fonts from now on. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks so much for the comments, guys. Keep it coming! :) God superbless you!

Number 1. Why?

a) Number 2 looks too much like the first issue.
b) Number 1 captures the "FRESH" mood and tone we want to achieve for that issue.
c) Number 1 is more appealing to the eye. :)

Oops, one more thing: The fonts for #1 could be a bit tamer. :)

#2!
but the fonts could use a makeover.

waah! need to get the first issue!

#1 really caught my eye! :)

I like the colors and photo of #1 (photo is more open and welcoming). The headlines are shorter and snappier, but harder to read because of the different fonts.
